about

In the Fall of 2014, I landed a job writing music for Death & Pretzels' production of the Dybbuk in Chicago. I wound up giving them more music than these six compositions, but these pieces are the highlights.

Given the play's lengthy discussions of the Kabbalah, each of these pieces corresponds to one of the five parts of the soul as identified by parts of the Kabbalah. I determined which part of the soul I would title a piece based on where the music would be in the play.
